The author of a 1995 comic story with the same title as the movie Cowboys & Aliens has sued producers of the movie and a comics publisher, alleging they stole his idea. Austin-based author Steven John Busti filed the suit in federal court in Texas. The suit namedDreamWorks Studios, Universal Pictures and comic book entrepreneur Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and his company Platinum Studios as defendants. Busti claims he came up with the idea for cowboys fighting aliens in 1994 and published a story the following year titled “Cowboys & Aliens” in a comic called “Bizarre Fantasy.” The suit also claims that in 1994 the publicationComic Shop News ran a feature on his Cowboys & Aliens idea in the same issue that ran a story on Rosenberg. Rosenberg’s LA-based Platinum Studios in 2006 launched the graphic novel series Cowboys & Aliens — which Busti asserted in the suit has striking similarities to his work.Universal and DreamWorks bought movie rights from Platinum. Busti’s claim is another black markagainst the movie on which the studios placed high hopes and a big budget. A major disappointment financially,Cowboys & Aliens grossed about $175 million worldwide, barely more than it cost.

By comparison, Squawk Box, which airs on FBN's chief competitor CNBC at the same time as Imus' show, received 179,000 total viewers on average for the month and outdelivered Imus in the target demographic by more than 1,100 percent, with 65,000 viewers. There is one relatively bright spot for Fox Business -- its early prime-time 4 p.m.-8 p.m. slate, which includes shows like Cavuto and Lou Dobbs Tonight. The network pulled around 85,000 average daily viewers for the month, including 12,000 viewers in its target demographic, during those hours. But even that figure is still well behind the 212,000 total viewers CNBC received for that same time slot. Fox Business Network executive vice president Kevin Magee is trying to put a positive spin on the numbers, saying things aren't as bad as they seem. "I always want better ratings than I have," he told Adweek. "[But] the trend is up for us." Magee pointed out that the network's ratings are "significantly up from October a year ago -- up 38 percent year to year." As for the network's ratings compared to its competition, Magee downplayed the importance of target demographic ratings altogether, saying, "I would respectfully tell you that the actual makeup of our audience is pretty terrific. We have the most affluent audience in basic cable. We've got people with money, and we attract some very, very high-end advertisers." Measuring success on the basis of whether the network is reaching its the 25-54 age group "might be an outdated measurement," Magee said. And not only with movie star careers: Apart from actors, Mengers was negotiating with the careers and the lives of directors like Lumet and Nichols and Brian De Palma, talents who know what they want -- and are used to getting it." Mengers' friend and longtime associate, ICM agent Boaty Boatwright, said, "Her name became synonymous with women and what she helped us all to accomplish, but her legend is really the vitality with which she lived life, and her wit, which will be celebrated in stories throughout our community for years to come." In a 1973 profile, Time magazine said, "As a vice president of mighty Creative Management Associates, Sue Mengers is, in the rueful words of one of her ex-clients, 'more powerful than the stars she handles.'?" Her parties were considered key networking opportunities, and even after she retired, her home was a center of the Hollywood social scene. She brought out the town's top talent ("single name stars" like "Warren, Jack, Barbra, Elton, Ali, Anjelica, Bette, Sting and Trudy, along with friends with last names like Geffen, Diller, Poitier, Lansing, Friedkin, Semel, Lourd and Zanuck"), as Graydon Carter recalled in a remembrance on Vanityfair.com. Mengers was born in Hamburg to parents who would later flee Germany as the Holocaust got started. She was 8 when the family arrived in the U.S., and her father committed suicide a few years later. She began in showbiz as a secretary at MCA in 1955, then worked in a similar job at the William Morris Agency, where she remained until a former co-worker, Tom Korman, hired her as a talent agent when he started his own agency. Her first success was landing Broadway star Julie Harris. "I was a little pisher, a little nothing making $135 a week as a secretary for the William Morris Agency in NY," Mengers told Mike Wallace in 1975. "Well, I looked around and I admired the Morris office and their executives, and I thought, Gee, what they do isn't that hard, you know. And I like the way they live, and I like those expense accounts, and I like the cars. And I used to stay late at the office, just like 'All About Eve,' and I suddenly thought, 'That beats typing.'?" "Stars are rare creatures, and not everyone can be one," she said. Why is it taking Psych so long to come back?

I love that freaking show, but it's taking so long for the new season
to air! The finale of season five was December 22, and I've just heard
that season six returns in October!? That's almost ten months! Why is
it taking the directors so long to come back? Do they not realize they
are losing fans every day they don't air? And why hasn't there been

i remember seeing this movie when i was younger. it was meant for
kids as a halloween movie. i don't recall any of the actors names but
im pretty sure it was a group o young boys getting lost or trapped in
another world per say. i think the other world was full of "boogie
men". i recall one of them being good and trying to help the boys out.
i think he was blue perhaps and had a punk rock look to him.

This weekend i have stuff on my sky i don't pay for?

I noticed yesterday that we were able to watch all the movie channels,
when we only pay for a few of them. Today i noticed that we have sky
anytime. We haven't asked for any of this, at first i thought that
they were giving everyone the movies for the weekend because the
boxing was on and it was making the box office phone lines busy. Has
anyone else noticed anything?

Guitar hero drum kit question?

I own guitar hero and the drumset with the rest. A short while ago, a
rat chewed my foot pedal cord and it broke off. The drum set still
works but the foot pedal doesnt is there any way to turn off the foot
pedal function so it wont affect yuor score, like in settings or
something???? by the way,, this is for guitar hero for the
